Make a Difference - Join the AWL Family Today!
Since 1965, the AWL has championed animal welfare across four counties. We’re an all-volunteer nonprofit committed to brighter futures for animals in need.
We’re their voice. The AWL provides pet food, vital care, spay/neuter services, and adoptions for animals seeking forever homes. Our transparency is recognized by Candid’s Platinum Seal of Transparency, reflecting our commitment to accountability.
Our Thrift Shop in Kilmarnock plays a pivotal role in funding our mission. As a volunteer, you’ll help create a warm and welcoming environment where shoppers can find treasures while supporting our cause. Your time and effort will directly contribute to saving and improving the lives of animals in need.
Forge a community where respect for animals thrives. Volunteer at our Thrift Shop; your dedication reverberates in every pawprint.
Can't commit to a specific volunteer schedule in our Thrift Shop? Consider offering periodic ad hoc services when needed or donate your time for administrative, marketing, or special services to help us achieve our mission.
- Do you have a truck for picking up large donations?
- Can you run an errand or make a couple of phone calls?
- Would you assist a fostering, volunteer with dog walking, vet appointment, or temporary pet sitting?
- Can you help coordinate humane education outreach with the schools?
- Do you have talents such as photography, marketing, accounting, desktop publishing, legal services, carpentry, painting, sign making, grant writing, or talents we haven't thought of?
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of animals in need and ready to join our dedicated team working towards a more compassionate community?
